MY VISIT TO FALMOUTH UNIVERSITY
About Falmouth University.
When my friend Paul first told me about Falmouth University, I felt it was overrated. I then went online to research about it thoroughly; I discovered on several forums that it is recommended as the best place in the UK and one of the best in the EU to study arts-related courses. I still felt the school was too unpopular for that to be true.
But then, on a working visit to the school and a thorough tour of every department, I am overly blown away by its history, facility and faculty. Falmouth University is not just a school; it is a world of many industries and opportunities. I couldn’t help asking the Senior Deputy VC where they got the funds for such investments from. He said the school has been in existence for quite a number of decades, but in the last 15 years, the EU has invested a lump sum of 100 million pounds to make it the top destination for creative arts education in Europe.
Asides its rare magnificence, Falmouth University is located in what is generally regarded as one of the most beautiful holiday cities in the UK – Cornwall. Studying here offers you the rare privilege of experiencing the peaceful, friendly and majestic Cornish life. I have visited several arts-centred universities in the UK and other places, Falmouth uniquely stands out, in the sense that it partners with industry professionals and firms to give students hands-on experience in the creative industries.
